Customs clearance

Finding the right customs clearance solutions is not always easy. Through an individual assessment of the initial position and your needs we are able to optimize the customs clearance process. Whether for exhibitions, congresses, events or international trade shows. In order to have the correct and best customs clearance solution we consult you comprehensively. We are also able to issue the customs documents.

As per your needs we differentiate between the following options:

ATA Carnet:

The ATA Carnet is a temporary clearance method exempted from paying duties and taxes. It’s normally used for goods that will be exported and imported in an unmodified state. It will be used especially for exhibition goods, professional equipment and trade samples. ATA Carnet can be used only in countries who ratified the ATA Carnet convention – see country list.

Temporary clearance "Freipass":

It is also exempted from duties and taxes. In general, it is used in countries where no ATA Carnet agreement is in place or the intention of a possible sale exist.

Permanent import and export:

This option will be chosen if goods are sold, for give-aways, food etc. In the country of import, duties and taxes will apply depending on origin and commodity. Goods for exhibitions are partly released from any duties and taxes. Customs clearance can be effected at the border or with a transit document at an inland customs office.

CAN YOU ISSUE AN ATA CARNET FOR US?

Yes, we offer this service. We are a member of the Chamber of Commerce and can issue an ATA Carnet within half a day. For the issuance we need: weight, commodity description, piece count per article, value of each article, serial-nr (where applicable). If you have numerous positions we will provide you with a special list to enter your data.

CAN YOU DO AN EU CLEARANCE WITH FISCAL REPRESENTATION?

Yes we can. We provide you with a power of attorney which you sign. We will need a commercial invoice assigned to the importer and our fiscal representative. We can consult you in detail and provide you more information about the process.

IS THE EXPORT DOCUMENT 11.030 STILL VALID?

No. Since 1 January 2013 the document has been discontinued. All customs documents must now applied for via the online customs system E-DEC. We are able to issue an E-DEC export declaration against a power of attorney. Do not hesitate to contact us.
